Writing, editing, & publishing
I'm not only a published hardcover author and journalist, but also a skilled and scrupulous editor and copy-editor, familiar with both Associated Press and Chicago Manual of Style standards.* Nowadays I'm diving deep into the very different publishing requirements of e-books — electronic books that readers can download and read on devices such as Amazon Kindle and Apple iPhone, which are beginning to boom in popularity.
* AP is the style standard for the news-publishing industry, whereas CMS is one of the principal standards for the book-publishing industry. In the heading above, for example, it's CMS style — but not AP — to put a comma before "and publishing."
