Views of the Merrimon Magnolia

Photos from various angles of the magnolia tree at the future Harris Teeter site on Merrimon Ave., Asheville, NC As part of a volunteer effort to help Harris Teeter find a way to save this mature magnolia by moving it, I took the following measurements on April 19, 2011:
* Trunk girth at 4-ft. height: 80 in.
* Diameter of tree's dripline: approx. 36 ft. 6 in. on N/S axis, approx. 40 ft. on E/W axis, avg. = 38 ft. 4 in.
* Height: Estimate 31 feet, based on measuring 84 in. from ground to the point on trunk marked with an orange arrow.
